School Council: Giving Pupils a Voice

Our School Council plays a vital role in shaping school life and ensuring that every pupil has a voice. Made up of elected representatives from across the school, the Council provides a platform for pupils to share ideas, influence decisions, and work collaboratively with staff to make positive changes.

The School Council champions leadership, inclusion, and wellbeing. Members regularly meet to discuss school priorities, gather feedback from classmates, and propose initiatives that enhance the learning environment. They work closely with groups such as the Eco Committee, supporting projects that promote sustainability and community engagement.

Beyond meetings, the Council represents the school at key events, welcomes visitors, and leads pupil-led activities that celebrate creativity and responsibility. Their involvement in shaping the school’s ethos and values ensures that respect, kindness, and responsibility remain at the heart of everything we do.

Acting as Our Pupil Forum
The School Council also serves as our pupil quorum, ensuring that the voice of learners is central to decision-making. They are consulted on policy reviews and provide valuable feedback on areas that impact school life, from wellbeing initiatives to environmental strategies. This collaborative approach ensures that policies reflect the needs and aspirations of our pupils.

Through teamwork and commitment, the School Council helps create a school where every pupil feels heard, valued, and empowered to make a difference.
