On Tuesday 16th June, our boys’ and girls’ teams travelled to Melvin Sports Complex to participate in an excellent tournament hosted by Marty Gormley. Both teams represented the school with great pride, demonstrating outstanding effort, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Our boys’ team performed well but were unfortunately narrowly eliminated before reaching the semi-final stage. The girls’ team enjoyed a successful run to the final, where they faced a strong St Catherine’s side. After a closely contested match ended 0–0, the outcome was decided by a penalty shootout. Despite a valiant effort, our girls were narrowly defeated.
While the result was disappointing, both teams thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were excellent ambassadors for the school. We are extremely proud of their achievements and the manner in which they represented us throughout the tournament.
