Last week the boys and girls in Nursery received a very exciting letter from 'The Three Little Pigs' asking for our help to gather appropriate materials for their new house.
We tested out different materials and used early mathematical language when sorting them into groups that were 'heavy' or 'light.' We event pretended that we were the Big Bad Wolf huffing and puffing!
We decided that the 'heavy' materials would work best as the Big Bad Wolf wouldn't be able to blow them down-especially after we had tested them with our hairdryer!
The boys and girls packaged up the heavy materials to send back to the three pigs and we wrote a letter together. At the end of the day we were so excited to receive a personal video addressed to us from the Big Bad Wolf!
Well done boys and girls-you showed super mathematical understanding and helped the three pigs!
