Today as part of DLD Awareness Day, our pupils were asked to wear purple and/or yellow clothing to school.
DLD stands for Developmental Language Disorder. It is a hidden but common condition that affects how children understand and use language. Around 1 in 14 children may have DLD, which can affect learning, friendships and emotional weel-being. Children with DLD may have difficulty following instructions, expressing themselves or understanding others
Raising awareness of DLD can help us to support children with the condition.
