This week, Mrs Thompson delivered a whole-school presentation sharing highlights from her recent educational visit to China as part of the CSSC international programme.
During the presentation, Mrs Thompson reflected on the professional learning gained through visits to a wide range of educational settings, including primary schools, post-primary schools, a college and a teaching training university. She highlighted interesting approaches to teaching, leadership and pupil engagement, and considered how this learning may help inform future school development.
Pupils, staff and governors also enjoyed watching a 20-minute video capturing key moments from the visit, offering a fascinating insight into education, culture and daily life in China. There was much to observe and learn from the experience — with some very interesting food along the way too!
