We are taking part in Big Walk and Wheel, the UK’s largest inter-school cycling, walking, wheeling and scooting challenge.
We are taking part in the challenge from 19th – 27th March 2026. It’s free to take part and we would love everyone to be involved.
Mr Martin introduced the challenge to us in assembly this morning.
What do you need to do?
Encourage your child(ren) to walk, use a wheelchair, scoot or cycle to school on as many days as possible during the event.
Each day, we will record how many pupils walk, scoot or cycle to school. If you are able to park and walk to school, that would be great! You must walk for a total of 10 minutes in order for it to be an active journey.
The school may win a prize each day if enough people take part!
As part of our participation in the Active School Travel Programme and with funding from the Public Health Agency, we have been provided with high-visibility vests for every child in the school. Some pupils have taken their high-visibility vest home today. Other classes may keep them in school to use for class trips throughout the year
